Well, that was a whirlwind of a weekend. Truth be told, I’m still recovering from pretending to be outgoing. It was exhausting.
But.
I went to the pitch slam, which I was terrified of. I survived (For proof, see picture at the left).
All the agents there were ridiculously nice and everyone I talked to wanted to see more of my manuscript. Needless to say, I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks.
Fast-forward to Sunday, or rather Monday, 3:00 AM. I read my query letter over. And over. And over again.
It was perfect!
Whooosh. Sent. Dusted my hands off and prepared to send the next. When I opened the master, what do I see? A typo. Noooooo!
Now it’s almost Friday and no response. My inbox is stubbornly empty no matter how many times I check. Rationally, I know it takes weeks. But I’m agonizing that my one typo cost me.
As Cersei says: “More wine!”
